Arlington Grove Multifamily Redevelopment Under Way in St. Louis

St. Louis–Construction has started on the Arlington Grove residential redevelopment project in north St. Louis. When complete it will include 112 mixed-income rental units in garden apartments, townhouse and semi-detached housing, along with a new mixed-use building and rehabilitation of the historic Arlington Elementary School. All together, the redevelopment will total 162,000 square feet of residential space and 5,000 square feet of commercial space.

Construction is underway on the $20.4 million Senior Living at Cambridge Heights facility at 728 Biddle Street in St. Louis. KAI Design & Build is the architect, general contractor and mechanical/electrical/plumbing engineer on the 89,900-square-foot development. With an anticipated January 2011 completion date, Senior Living at Cambridge Heights will feature 117 one- and two-bedroom apartments designed for older adults. Construction Starts on NOLA Housing Redevelopment Project

Construction has begun on the $172 million project to redevelop the C.J. Peete public housing site in New Orleans, La. The C.J. Peete HOPE VI Housing Redevelopment project is being developed by Central City Partners (a team made up of St. Louis-based companies McCormack Baron Salazar and KAI Design & Build), in partnership with the Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO) and the New Orleans Neighborhood Development Collaborative (NONDC), a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the availability of quality affordable housing in New Orleans’ Central City neighborhood.
